Pagani Utopia Roadster 2025 - Full Tech Specs and Performance

The Pagani Utopia Roadster is an open-top variant of the Utopia coupe, designed with a focus on lightweight engineering, mechanical purity, and aerodynamic efficiency.

At the heart of the vehicle is a 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine, developed by Mercedes-AMG specifically for Pagani. This power unit delivers 864 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 1,100 Newton-meters of torque, or 811 pound-feet, available from as low as 2,800 rpm. It is mounted longitudinally behind the driver in a rear mid-engine layout, contributing to a balanced center of gravity and optimal weight distribution.

The transmission is a 7-speed Xtrac automated manual gearbox, designed to minimize weight and mechanical complexity. It utilizes a single clutch and a transaxle layout, integrating the differential and gearbox into a single rear-mounted unit. The use of this transmission over a dual-clutch system prioritizes weight savings and direct mechanical response.

Chassis construction is based on Pagani's proprietary Carbo-Titanium monocoque, combining carbon fiber and titanium alloy for an optimal strength-to-weight ratio. This results in a dry weight of approximately 1,280 kilograms. The front and rear subframes are made of aluminum alloy, bolted directly to the carbon core structure. Torsional rigidity is rated at 38,000 newton-meters per degree.

Suspension components are forged aluminum, configured in a double-wishbone layout with electronically controlled adaptive dampers. Braking is handled by carbon-ceramic discs from Brembo, with six-piston calipers at the front and four-piston units at the rear.

The Roadster’s active aerodynamic system includes movable flaps at each corner of the body, controlled in real-time to optimize downforce and drag depending on speed, steering angle, and throttle input. The bodywork is entirely carbon fiber, with an emphasis on laminar flow and low turbulence at high speed. Cooling ducts and air extractors are precisely modeled for thermodynamic efficiency, aiding in brake and powertrain temperature management.

Performance figures include a 0 to 100 kilometer-per-hour acceleration time of approximately 2.8 seconds, and an electronically limited top speed of over 350 kilometers per hour. The power-to-weight ratio is roughly 675 horsepower per metric ton.

Interior instrumentation is entirely analog, with mechanical gauges housed in aluminum and sapphire crystal. No digital screens are used in the cockpit. Control surfaces are made of billet aluminum and carbon fiber, machined and assembled in-house.

Production of the Utopia Roadster is limited to 100 units globally. Each unit is built to order, with extensive options for material, color, and mechanical tuning. The base price is estimated at 2.5 million U.S. dollars, excluding taxes, customization, and regulatory compliance adjustments in specific markets.

This positions the Pagani Utopia Roadster as one of the most mechanically focused, high-performance roadsters in the hypercar segment.
