Driven by Kazuki Nakajima and Masanori Sekiya, the 1985 Toyota 85C took part to the 1985 Le Mans 24h and this was the first time in the Group C for the Japanese manufacturer on the Circuit de la Sarthe 24h-long distance race. The Toyota 85C endurance prototype was powered by the Toyota 4T-GTE 2.1L turbocharged inline-4 engine and had a Tom's/Dome aluminum monocoque.
