Koenigsegg presents the Sadair’s Spear, a new benchmark in track-capable, road-legal hypercars. It delivers increased power, reduced weight, refined suspension, upgraded brakes, and advanced aerodynamics.
The name carries personal significance. Christian von Koenigsegg honors his father, Jesko, and the racehorse from his past: Sadair’s Spear.
At its core is a twin-turbocharged V8 engine paired with Koenigsegg’s flywheel-free Light Speed Transmission. Power output reaches 1,300 horsepower on standard fuel and 1,625 on E85, thanks to enhanced airflow, cooling, and calibration.
Weight reduction totals 35 kilograms, surpassing the One:1’s power-to-weight ratio and further improving handling and acceleration. Aerodynamic upgrades include a new top-mounted double-blade active rear wing, extended rear design, and revised front aero elements.
These features increase downforce and cooling for sustained high-speed operation. Optimized air intakes and rear hood scoops improve engine breathing and thermal efficiency.
Underbody strakes and wheel arch louvres contribute to both stability and cooling airflow.
Sadair’s Spear rides on custom 7-spoke Aircore carbon fiber wheels with directional design and is fitted with track-oriented tires for superior grip.
The suspension system includes lightweight springs and Koenigsegg’s Triplex dampers for responsive, stable cornering.
Braking is handled by upgraded multi-layer carbon-ceramic discs and high-performance pads, engineered for repeatable, fade-resistant stops.
Inside, the focus is on function. Lightweight carbon fiber seats are paired with standard three-point belts, or optional six-point harnesses.
All gear changes are managed through steering-mounted paddle shifters.
Weight savings extend throughout the interior, from revised materials to streamlined components.
Despite its minimalism, key Koenigsegg features remain—SmartCluster, SmartCenter, wireless charging, USB connectivity, Autoskin, and full parking assistance.
Initial testing at Gotland Ring confirmed the car’s potential. Sadair’s Spear beat the Jesko Attack’s lap record by 1.1 seconds—proof of its capability on the track.
