Citroen Mehari | The ABS Plastic Car also 4x4 (1968-1987)

Introduced in 1968, the Citroën Méhari remains one of the most unconventional vehicles ever engineered. Built on the platform of the Citroën 2CV and the Dyane 6, it combined lightweight construction, modular design, and extreme mechanical simplicity into a highly adaptable mobility system. This documentary explores the Méhari’s thermoformed ABS body panels, its terrain-focused suspension system and its unique role across civilian and industrial applications. Less widely known is its military adaptation. Developed in collaboration with SEAB and deployed by the French Army, the Méhari 4x4 introduced a dual-motor, four-wheel-drive configuration designed for operational reliability in challenging environments. #citroen #citroenmehari #classiccars SUBSCRIBE TO CHANNEL: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6IKxew0eG8FQWl89nCv-3A?sub_confirmation=1 CONTRIBUTE WITH A LITTLE MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION TO ACCESS ALL BENEFITS: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6IKxew0eG8FQWl89nCv-3A/join FOLLOW US ON SOCIAL MEDIA: Facebook | https://ift.tt/6k7we3N Instagram | https://ift.tt/04mG58D Pinterest | https://ift.tt/xMC5EHc Reddit | https://ift.tt/ikMcdsq X/Twitter | https://www.twitter.com/MotorSpexx Threads | https://ift.tt/QxUrTD9 Tumblr | https://ift.tt/lTSVq05 Blog | https://ift.tt/x2aFB0Y
