The all-new, sixth-generation Nissan Micra returns in 2025 as a fully electric vehicle. Built on the AmpR EV platform, the Micra has been engineered to meet the demands of European urban driving while delivering a fully connected, emission-free experience.
The new Nissan Micra is available with two battery options: a 40 kilowatt-hour pack and a 52 kilowatt-hour pack. The 40 kilowatt-hour version delivers 90 kilowatts of power and 225 newton-metres of torque, with an estimated range of up to 308 kilometres. The 52 kilowatt-hour version increases output to 110 kilowatts and 245 newton-metres of torque, achieving a maximum range of up to 408 kilometres. Weight for these variants is 1,400 and 1,524 kilograms respectively. All figures are subject to homologation.
For efficient recharging, the Micra supports fast DC charging. The 40 kilowatt-hour version uses an 80 kilowatt DC charger, while the 52 kilowatt-hour version supports up to 100 kilowatts. In both cases, charging from 15 to 80 percent can be completed in approximately 30 minutes. To improve energy management, both variants include a heat pump and battery thermal regulation. Vehicle-to-Load functionality is also standard, enabling the vehicle battery to power external devices.
The Micra’s exterior features a robust, SUV-inspired stance with a clean design language. All grades are equipped with 18-inch wheels in three styles: Active, Iconic, and Sport. Signature headlamps provide animated lighting sequences on lock and unlock, while the LED rear lights offer an ornate circular design. A total of 14 exterior colour combinations, including two-tone options, are available.
With an overall length under 4 metres and a width under 1.8 metres, the new Nissan Micra is compact and manoeuvrable. A wheelbase of 2.54 metres enhances both interior space and handling. The five-door configuration is standard across the range. Cargo capacity is rated at 326 litres, competitive within the B-segment.
Inside, the cabin continues the theme of understated design. A 10.1-inch digital driver display is paired with a centrally mounted 10.1-inch touchscreen interface. Interior trim levels vary between Modern, Audacious, and Chill, offering three material and colour schemes. A three-spoke steering wheel and integrated Japanese design cues, such as a Mount Fuji outline in the central storage area, enhance the design coherence.
The Micra’s ride quality benefits from a low-mounted battery and multi-link rear suspension—an advanced setup typically found in higher vehicle segments. The front suspension uses independent struts with passive dampers. Combined with low weight and quick-response steering, the Micra delivers responsive and agile handling.
Connectivity is managed through the NissanConnect system, which includes Google built-in services and app-based access to remote vehicle functions such as climate control, battery status, location tracking, and charge scheduling.
Safety features include Nissan’s ProPilot Assist and a full suite of advanced driver assistance systems. These technologies are designed to enhance highway driving and offer comprehensive occupant protection.
The all-new, fully electric Nissan Micra will be available for sale across Europe later this year.
